OUR STORY
Leif built the business the old-fashioned way — working hard, doing a good job and earning a reputation that opened the door to new opportunities. Over the years, LBT has continued to grow and diversify, taking on bigger jobs and building its capability along the way. What started with a love of trucks has grown into an experienced team, a capable fleet and a business trusted to move freight across New Zealand.
A lot has changed since 1990, but the way we do business hasn’t. Look after your people. Look after your customers. Do what you say you’ll do. And take pride in getting the job done right.
OUR PEOPLE
Many of our team have been with LBT for years, bringing a depth of experience and knowledge to the work we do. They know the gear, understand the demands of the job and uphold the standards our customers have come to expect from LBT. We’re proud to say our operators are reliable, competent and safety-focused, with the skills and experience to look after our customers, their freight and each other.
Good people, doing good work and taking pride in getting the job done right.
WHAT WE BELIEVE IN
WE DO WHAT WE SAY
Our word means something. When we commit to a job, we take responsibility for seeing it through. We turn up, communicate clearly and follow through on what we’ve promised. It’s how we’ve built long-standing relationships with our customers and earned their trust over the years.
EXPERIENCE MAKES A DIFFERENCE
There are some things you only learn by doing the work. Our team brings years of hands-on transport experience to every job, helping us make good decisions, solve problems and know what needs to happen to keep things moving.
PEOPLE MATTER
LBT has always been a people business. We look after our team, our customers and the people we work alongside. We treat people with respect, work together and build relationships that last.
TAKE PRIDE IN YOUR WORK
The standard matters to us. From the way we look after our trucks and equipment to the way we handle our customers’ freight, we care about doing a good job. Whatever the job, we want to be proud of the work we put our name to.
